Telugu superstar Jr NTR is all set to create history at the box office with his new release, Devara: Part 1.

Following the blockbuster success of RRR, this film has generated immense excitement, evident in its stellar advance bookings.

The movie is targeting an impressive worldwide opening, aiming to be the second biggest ever for an Indian film, just after Kalki 2898 AD, which grossed a record-breaking ₹177.70 crore on its opening day.

Strong Start with Advance Bookings

Devara: Part 1 has already achieved a significant milestone in advance ticket sales, collecting around ₹54.27 crore globally, including block seats. Excluding block seats, the total is ₹38.84 crore.

In the Indian markets of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the film has sold tickets worth ₹16.31 crore and ₹12.88 crore, respectively. Karnataka has also shown strong support, with ₹5.85 crore in ticket sales.

Worldwide Box Office Projections

The movie is predicted to grab in approximately ₹125 crore globally on its first day, making it one of the highest openers in Indian cinema history.

If these projections hold, Devara: Part 1 will stand second only to Kalki 2898 AD, which dominated the box office on its release day.

Domestic Performance Expectations

In India, Devara: Part 1 is expected to gross between ₹85-90 crore on its opening day. The Andhra Pradesh/Telangana market alone could contribute around ₹65-70 crore, showcasing the film’s massive appeal in Jr NTR’s home territory.

This strong domestic performance, combined with its international pre-sales of ₹40 crore ($5 million), including premieres, sets the stage for a phenomenal box office run.

Director’s Vision and Audience Appeal

Director Koratala Siva, mentioned at a promotional event that he creates films to resonate with a broad audience, regardless of language.

He highlighted that a well-crafted story naturally connects with viewers from all linguistic backgrounds. His comments shows Devara’s potential to appeal to Hindi-speaking audiences, despite being a primarily Telugu film.
