Palak Sindhwani, known for her role as Sonu Bhide in the beloved sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, recently announced her departure from the show, and her reasons have led to a lot of discussions.

Allegations of Mistreatment

In an exclusive interview, Palak revealed that she faced serious issues while working on the show.

She claimed that the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah mistreated her and did not pay her dues.

Despite her dedication to the show, she felt emotionally drained, often crying in her makeup room due to the pressure and harassment she experienced.

Unpaid Dues

One of Palak’s main complaints was about unpaid salaries. She stated that the production house owed her over ₹21 lakhs but continued to pressure her to keep working.

According to her, when she expressed her desire to leave the show, the exploitation began, leading to accusations of breaching her contract. This situation left her feeling trapped and stressed.

Mental Harassment

Palak described the environment on set as very stressful. She claimed that the production team pressured her to work even when she was not well, causing panic attacks and worsening her health.

She felt that the team’s tactics aimed to intimidate her into staying on the show. She mentioned that the situation made her feel like she was in a “jail,” with no escape from the harsh treatment.

Support from Fellow Actors

Palak’s revelations gained attention, especially after fellow actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who played Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi on the show, voiced her support for Palak.

Jennifer also shared her experiences of facing similar issues, highlighting the ongoing challenges that many actors face while working on the show.

She stated that the production team often creates obstacles for those wishing to leave, reinforcing the notion that many actors are unhappy.
