Biles humorously confessed she could explain football to a 5-year-old, but a deeper dive might leave her audience confused.
During a recent interview shared on the Olympics Instagram account, Biles shared that Owens’ knowledge of gymnastics far surpasses her grasp of the NFL.
Dressed in a chic black Prada bucket hat, she revealed how her husband keeps up with gymnastics scoring intricacies while she continues learning football basics.
“My dad and brothers always watched football, but I never really got into it,” Biles said. “I was always at the gym.”
From a Football Novice to a Dedicated Supporter
Before marrying Owens, Biles had little understanding of football. Even as a guest at Houston Texans games, where she led the team through the tunnel, she admitted, “I knew absolutely not a thing about football.”
Her football knowledge has grown significantly since she met Owens on the dating app Raya in 2020. Thanks to teammates’ wives and girlfriends, she’s learned the game’s lingo. Biles proudly mentioned, “Some of the wives have said, ‘Oh my gosh, you’ve come so far!’”
Balancing Love, Travel, and Sacrifices
The couple shares a waterfront mansion in Houston but spends much of their time apart during the NFL season. This year, Biles skipped a big Christmas celebration, choosing to stay in Chicago while Owens prepared for a critical game.
“Honestly, just the two of us. Nothing crazy,” Biles said about their holiday plans. She added, “We have vacations planned next year, so we’re just relaxing.”
The couple also manages gameday routines carefully. NFL players usually stay separately from their partners the night before games, so the duo adjusts their schedules to share quality moments.
“Jonathan is so chill,” Biles shared. “He’s relaxed, not as stressed as me.”
Supporting Each Other with Style
Biles is often spotted at Owens’ games wearing personalized outfits featuring nods to her husband.
Her ensemble for the Bears’ December 22 game against the Detroit Lions included a sparkly “36” (Owens’ jersey number) on a black shirt, paired with Prada accessories.
