Alright, you won’t believe it if I tell you that Episode 8 of Daredevil: Born Again is a rollercoaster, and I’m finally writing this to explain it to you guys.
So it starts with a familiar face again, Bullseye, yep, the scary guy who can turn anything into a deadly weapon (seriously, if this guy had a paperclip, you’d better run).
He gets dropped into general prison, which is a really bad idea because he used to be an FBI agent who arrested half the people in there.
The prison guards were like, “Good luck!” and threw him to the wolves. Not suspicious at all… unless you’re Matt Murdock, who’s got spidey senses for shady stuff (not really, but he’s just really good at noticing things).
Meanwhile, Matt aka Daredevil, is still super sad about his best friend Foggy dying. It’s been haunting him, and now he’s trying to figure out who was actually behind it.
At first, he thought it was his old enemy Fisk (a.k.a. Kingpin) because, let’s be honest, the guy isn’t exactly winning any “Nicest Mayor” awards.
But then Matt remembers that Foggy was drinking their special “we just won a big case” scotch right before he died. And Matt’s like, “Wait a minute… was Foggy celebrating something?” That’s when the detective light bulb goes off in his head.
Turns out, Fisk didn’t order the hit on Foggy. It was actually his wife, Vanessa. Plot twist alert! She’s been running the crime business while Fisk has been busy playing the world’s most terrifying mayor.
And to prove she’s all-in with her husband again, she straight-up kills this guy named Adam. Who’s Adam, you ask? Just the dude she cheated on Fisk with. Yeah… messy.
Instead of breaking up, she and Fisk are now more in love than ever, proving that couples therapy in this show is more like “murder someone you used to like” therapy. Not recommended.
And then we have BB Urich. She’s like, “I may be young, but I’m about to expose some corruption.” She’s talking to this Police Commissioner dude who spills the tea, and the entire Anti-Vigilante Task Force is basically Fisk’s private army of bad cops.
BB already knew Fisk killed her uncle (shoutout to Ben Urich from the old Daredevil series), and now she wants to blow this whole thing wide open. That girl’s got guts.
But also, the girl better be careful because Fisk has a track record of turning people who mess with him into… let’s just say, not-alive people.
Now for the big scene. There’s this super fancy black-and-white ball (because crime lords throw classy parties now).
Matt shows up, looking sharp, and sneaks around like a ninja in a tux. Bullseye crashes the party because, of course, he is dressed as a cop, and he’s ready to take out Fisk.

And here’s the jaw-dropper: Matt jumps in the way and takes the bullet for Fisk. Yep, he saves the guy who’s been ruining his life for years. Why?!?
Well, Matt still believes in doing the right thing. He’s not a killer. He doesn’t want revenge. He wants justice. He knows Vanessa is the one who had Foggy killed, not Fisk, so letting Fisk die wouldn’t be fair.
So, in true superhero fashion, he dives in front of the bullet like, “I’m not done with you yet, Big Guy.”
And that’s how Episode 8 ends with drama, secrets out in the open, and Daredevil lying on the floor like, “Ow. But at least I did the right thing.”
So yeah, this episode had everything: jail fights, sneaky villains, emotional reveals, slow dances with hidden threats, and a bullet to the chest. Classic Daredevil stuff, just turned up to 100.
One more episode to go, and if it’s anything like this one, we’re in for a wild finale. Grab your popcorn (and maybe a bulletproof vest, just in case). Hahahaha… See you soon!
