Jr. NTR’s upcoming movie, Devara: Part 1, has already created a trend on the internet ahead of its release by crossing the Rs 100 crore mark in bookings.

Scheduled to hit theatres on September 27, the movie has generated excitement among fans, with expectations running high.

The film will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages, featuring a rich cast including Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, who make their Telugu debut.

According to early reports, Devara: Part 1 has sold a staggering 1,047,293 tickets in India, amounting to an advance earning of Rs 42.05 crore.

The film’s advance bookings have particularly taken off in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with 994,187 tickets sold from 7267 Telugu shows alone.

The Hindi version has also seen promising numbers, with 40,442 tickets sold from 6186 shows. Globally, the movie is expected to bring in an additional Rs 60 crore.

Jr. NTR’s Return to the Big Screen

After his phenomenal success with SS Rajamouli’s RRR, Jr. NTR returns with Devara: Part 1, directed by Kortala Siva.

The movie is a thrilling action story about Devara, a brave man from the coast, who sets out on a risky sea adventure to defend his people.

Meanwhile, his brother Bhaira plots against him, putting his legacy in jeopardy, making this an interesting story that will keep viewers hooked.

Breaking Records Before Release

The film has already broken several records in advance bookings. In the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana alone, Devara: Part 1 is expected to surpass Rs 65 crore on its opening day, with the potential to increase depending on the ticket prices, show timings, and permissions for early screenings.

This pre-release achievement sets the stage for a strong start, indicating that the film could be another massive hit like Jr. NTR’s previous blockbuster, RRR.

Comparing with RRR’s Success

RRR set a high benchmark, grossing Rs 223 crore worldwide on its first day and becoming the highest opening-day earner for an Indian film.

While it’s too early to predict if Devara: Part 1 will surpass these numbers, the initial response indicates it might come close.

The film has also been certified U/A by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an approved runtime of nearly three hours.
