On August 1, 2024, the episode of “Suhaagan” opens with Swara freeing Dholram from his bonds. She asks him who tied him up, and he reveals it was Abhimanyu. This revelation leaves everyone in shock. Vedant confronts Abhimanyu about why he married Dhwani. Abhimanyu admits he liked Dhwani from the beginning but stepped back for Vedant’s sake. Vedant angrily accuses Abhimanyu of adding more problems to their lives. Vrinda, upset with Abhimanyu, criticizes him and insults Dhwani.
Vrinda refuses to accept Dhwani’s marriage or her vermillion. She attempts to wipe off Dhwani’s vermillion, but Abhimanyu stops her. He explains that Dhwani didn’t want to marry him initially, but he convinced her. Abhimanyu pleads with everyone to accept the marriage. However, Vedant firmly states that they will never accept it. Vrinda tries to throw Dhwani out of the house, but Koyel intervenes. She urges Vrinda to accept the marriage as it was performed with all rituals.
Koyel’s involvement in the situation is revealed. She had manipulated Abhimanyu into marrying Dhwani by emotionally blackmailing him using Naina’s name. She told Abhimanyu that Dhwani was refusing to marry Dholram and that the only way to save his sister’s marriage was for him to marry Dhwani. Initially, Abhimanyu refused, but Koyel’s emotional blackmail left him with no choice. Koyel took Abhimanyu to Dhwani, who begged them to save her. Koyel blessed the couple and asked them to seek blessings from everyone. Rudra, however, is furious and refuses to bless them. Koyel tries to calm Rudra and persuade him to accept the marriage.
Dhwani acknowledges her mistake of falling for Vedant but promises not to give them any more reasons to be angry with her. She asks Swara if she is happy now and if she still feels insecure about her. Dhwani then hugs Swara and whispers that she has returned with a vengeance and will make Swara’s life miserable. Swara responds that she will get rid of Dhwani for sure. Vedant, frustrated, retreats inside. Koyel follows him and apologizes for complicating things and not being able to help him. She melodramatically says she doesn’t deserve to be called his mother, but Vedant reassures her that she is the best mother and not at fault. Koyel asks Vedant how he plans to handle Swara, to which he replies that he knows how.
Later that night, Vedant is sleeping on the couch when Swara brings a bottle for him and places it on the table. Vedant angrily throws it away, telling Swara that she doesn’t need to pretend, and makes it clear that he will never love her. Swara, however, is determined and tells Vedant that now that they are married, they will eventually fall in love, as there is a lot of power in a suhaagan. She decides to prove to him soon that Dhwani only loved his money, not him.
The episode ends with the tension still high and unresolved emotions lingering among the characters.
