On August 7, 2024, a dramatic episode unfolds in the dance competition of the popular show “Jhanak.” The competition begins with Jhanak refusing to drink the juice provided to her before her performance, opting for plain water instead. Unknown to her, the other contestants had mixed something poisonous in the juice to sabotage her performance. Unfortunately, the water given to her was also tampered with, making it taste bitter.
Srishti, the host, inaugurates the dance competition and proudly welcomes her daughter, Arshi, on stage. She believes Arshi is the only one capable of winning the competition. To gain audience sympathy, Srishti shares the story of Arshi’s accident, which had traumatized her and made her consider quitting dance forever. Srishti’s public encouragement aims to restore Arshi’s confidence.
Meanwhile, outside the competition venue, Anjana notices her daughter Appu talking to a stranger, Lalan. Concerned, she questions Appu about her interaction. Appu candidly admits her liking for Lalan, who reciprocates her feelings. Ignoring her mother’s warnings, Appu declares that she will live her life on her own terms, expressing her frustration with her parents’ restrictions. This defiance shocks Anjana, especially when Appu insists on participating in a program organized by Lalan.
Disturbed by the situation, Anjana requests Lalan to stay away from her daughter. She believes that his background, coming from a slum, makes him an unsuitable friend for Appu. Lalan, however, refuses to tolerate the insult. He genuinely cares for Appu and assures Anjana that he has no ill intentions.
Back at the competition, Jhanak is called to the stage, surprising both Arshi and Aniruddha. Arshi suspects that Aniruddha knew about Jhanak’s participation, which is why he insisted she come to the competition. Feeling overwhelmed by her mother’s constant control, Arshi decides to leave the competition. Her anger intensifies upon realizing she wasn’t informed about Jhanak’s participation. Srishti, worried about her reputation, manages to calm Arshi and convinces her to stay.
The episode ends with tension high among the participants and their families, setting the stage for more drama in the next installment.
