A 15-day rural sports training camp organized under the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi in Khadia area (NCL KHADIA AREA), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (NCL), concluded. In the closing ceremony of this camp organized under Social Issue Responsibility (CSR), NCL Khadia Area General Manager Rajiv Kumar as the chief guest encouraged all the participants and encouraged them to practice the methods learned during training regularly.
Referring to the Tokyo Olympics, Chief General Manager Rajeev Kumar, taking lessons from the performance of female athlete and Neeraj Chopra, motivated the children to work hard towards their goal by being disciplined and assured that such events would be organized in future also, regional “Aarohan” sports training camp will be organized from May 15 to nurture sports talent. Project Officer CP Singh, Personnel Stop Officer AK Toppo, Labor Union Representative Shailendra Choubey, Atal Ram, SC Singh, Alok Pandey, CSR Officer Rajaram Yadav, Personnel Manager Pani Pankaj Pandey, Personnel Officer Ved Prakash Singh and Other officers and employees were present.
NCL had started a 15-day rural sports training camp on 16.03.2022 in Khadia area in which about 150 children from adjoining villages like Ambedkar Nagar, Chilkatand, Nimiyatand, Hardwan Basti etc. were selected for training by qualified sports coaches. After selection the trainees were given training in sports like running, long jump, high jump, kabaddi, football etc. After the training, prizes were given to the children who got first, second and third place in all the sports and also consolation prizes were given to all the participants. Along with certificates, 150 participants present in the closing ceremony were also given free track-suit, jersey, shoes, socks, handwash etc.
It is worth noting that NCL Khadia area is working extensively in the field of education, skill development, infrastructure building, health, sports and nutrition in the surrounding area under CSR.
